An early “happy Fourth of July” to everyone, and just like the fireworks, events in Tulsa are poppin’ off this month! From some of the most prestigious shows that make Tulsa the equine capital of the world, to top-tier youth sports and high-level business conventions, Tulsa is once again the place to be for big events. Here are the highlights in the July edition of the Tulsa Awareness Group Monthly Snapshot!

From 3:30-4:00 take advantage of networking opportunities, PartnerNet assistance, and the Tulsa Area Attractions meetup, with the Tulsa Awareness Group meeting and presentation starting at 4:00 p.m.

The Pony of Americas breed is a youth-oriented horse breed known for its versatility and coloring. The National Congress brings Pony of Americas Club members from all over the country for competitions in numerous disciplines.

Audience Insight: Groups will seek out dining options for lunch and dinner near Expo Square. With a large number of youth competitors, groups will likely be interested in family-friendly activities and destinations.

The second invitational added to the Tulsa Elite family, the Freedom Invitational is a youth softball event for teams ages 12u-18u. There will be 150 teams in attendance, along with coaches and family, and each team will play a minimum of six games. A number of college representatives will be on-site for recruiting as well.

The Hackamore Classic showcases traditional cow horse evolution and provides hackamore horses (4- and 5-year-olds) the opportunity to compete in a three-event derby featuring herd/rein/cow work.

Audience Insight: Groups will eat lunch at establishments near Expo Square, mostly opting for takeout. For dinner, they will seek out steakhouses capable of hosting large groups.

P.E.A.K (Pentecostal in Experience, Action and Knowledge) is one of the fastest-growing youth conferences in the country. Services each night will feature dynamic preaching and teaching and be followed by “Afterburners” (Incredible Pizza and Ruffin Event Center on Wednesday, WeStreet Ice Center on Thursday and Ascension St. John SportsPlex on Friday).

Audience Insight: Attendees will be on their own for lunch and dinner. They will seek out dining options near the Mabee Center that can accommodate larger groups.

Trade show for cattle producers and industry partners. A two-day, family-friendly event with educational opportunities, networking and more.

Audience Insight: Group has historically gone to Oklahoma City, so attendees will likely want to explore an overall sampling of what Tulsa has to offer, likely spending time in multiple districts.

The premiere event celebrating Buckskin, Dun, Red Dun, Grulla, Dunalino and Perlino horses. Exhibitors from all over the country will be in town for nine days of competition and community. At the World Championship, youth, amateur and open exhibitors will have a chance to compete at a national level.

The annual conference for CareerTech professionals across Oklahoma brings more than 4,000 educational professionals to Tulsa for networking, professional development and leadership opportunities.

Audience Insight: Attendees will likely patronize one-site food trucks for lunch and seek out options downtown for dinner. It is a professional crowd that will seek out quieter establishments either in downtown or near their hotels.

One of the most prestigious and high-paying events in reining, the 100X Reining Classic draws competitors, breeders and fans from across the country. The competition is exclusive to 3- and 4-year-old horses.

Audience Insight: Groups will consist of families and friends. They will seek out quick, easy lunches near Expo Square, and higher-end dining and steakhouses for dinner, as well as hardware and supply stores for animal care needs on-site.
