Hello Tulsa's Creative Industry and Supporters!
|
This has been an exciting start to the new year for Tulsa FMAC, and we’re energized by the momentum already building across our creative community. From national stages to local sets, Tulsa artists and industry leaders are continuing to show up in powerful ways.
We were proud to be part of Folk Alliance International earlier this year, where Tulsa’s music community was represented through showcases, conversations, and meaningful connections with artists and industry professionals from around the world. Moments like these help elevate Tulsa’s creative voice while opening new doors for collaboration and opportunity.
We’re also thrilled to share the launch of the Tulsa Film Incentive Program, a new city rebate designed to complement Oklahoma’s statewide film incentives. This program strengthens Tulsa’s competitive edge as a film and media destination while creating more opportunities for local crew, musicians, and businesses to be part of productions right here at home.
As the year continues, we’re grateful to work alongside a community that leads with creativity, collaboration, and ambition. We can’t wait to share what’s ahead!

Creative Directory Spotlight: Keith Daniels
|
Keith “Sneak” Daniels is an award-winning Black and Native American filmmaker and photographer and founder of Dreamland Studios LLC. His work often highlights themes of the Black experience, family, and community painted against the backdrop of Afrofuturism. He is best known for co-directing the documentary 'Fire in Little Africa' which was showcased at the DeadCenter Film Festival in 2021.
His new feature, Fighting More Than Fire, is a documentary that explores the untold history of Black firefighters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Through personal stories, first-hand accounts, and following a “day-in-the-life” of these heroes, the film captures the struggles and triumphs of the men who broke barriers in a segregated fire department. This film preserves their legacy and honors the generations who paved the way for today’s firefighters.

Program Spotlight: Tulsa Film Incentive
|
Tulsa FMAC has launched the Tulsa Film Incentive Program, a city rebate designed to complement Oklahoma’s statewide film incentives and attract film, television, and digital media productions to the region. The program offers a 5% rebate on qualifying local spend for productions filming within a 30-mile radius of Tulsa City Hall, with rebates capped at $50,000 for projects spending up to $5 million and $75,000 for larger productions. By encouraging the use of local crew, vendors, music, and production offices, the incentive supports job creation, economic growth, and increased visibility for Tulsa as a competitive film destination. Applications opened February 1 at tulsafmac.com.
