Hello Tulsa's Creative Industry and Supporters,

Tulsa’s summer calendar has been packed with creative wins—and there’s even more on the horizon.

On the film front, FX’s upcoming series The Lowdown—starring Ethan Hawke and filmed right here in Tulsa—will be featured at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival this fall. Meanwhile, Rebellium Films has had our Tulsa crew hard at work on two productions—one filming in Broken Arrow and one all across Tulsa—further proving that our city is a thriving hub for on-screen storytelling.

July also brought major recognition for our music scene. Tulsa was named a finalist for Best Global Music City at the Music Cities Awards—an international nod to the talent, collaboration, and heart that define our creative community. The awards will take place this September in Fayetteville, and we’re excited to see if Tulsa takes home the win.

And in theater news, we welcomed the North American tour cast of The Outsiders back home to Tulsa, where they were surprised by a visit from Oklahoma’s own Kristin Chenoweth. It was a full-circle moment for a story so deeply tied to our city’s history—and you can catch The Outsiders yourself when it comes to the Tulsa PAC (tickets are on sale now!).

As we step into August, we’re gearing up for another month of connection, creativity, and celebration. From film premieres and theater performances to live shows and industry events, there’s no shortage of ways to be part of Tulsa’s growing story.

Thanks for being part of this community—and for helping Tulsa’s arts and culture shine on a global stage.
